Therapeutic Offerings

Our Approach

At PlayThinks, therapy is not a set of isolated services. We create a holistic system of support, thoughtfully tailored to each individual learner.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is one important component of this system, but it does not stand alone. Instead, it is intentionally integrated with speech therapy, occupational therapy, and social-emotional support. This cohesive approach allows us to support each child from multiple angles, helping them build meaningful skills and gain the confidence needed to succeed beyond the therapy setting.

As a Jewish organization, we are deeply attuned to the cultural, social, and educational needs of our community. We partner closely with families to ensure that each child’s program reflects not only their developmental profile, but also their environment, values, and school goals.

Across all services, we emphasize the development of intrinsic motivation, drawing on principles from the Feuerstein Method alongside other evidence-based practices. Our goal is to help children build not just skills, but the internal drive, confidence, and flexibility needed for lifelong growth.

This integrated approach extends into each child’s academic experience, ensuring that therapeutic progress translates into meaningful success in the classroom.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

ABA therapy at PlayThinks helps individuals build meaningful skills through supportive, evidence-based strategies that promote engagement, autonomy, and intrinsic motivation.

Our approach is integrated within a broader therapeutic framework, combining behavioral, cognitive, and relational methods to support the whole child, not define them.

Each program is individualized, with a focus on communication, independence, social connection, and confidence. We also prepare clients for successful reintegration into Jewish school settings by fostering learner readiness and meaningful community engagement.

Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)

Speech therapy supports communication and feeding skills, including language, articulation, social communication, AAC, and swallowing.

Our speech-language pathologists collaborate closely with the broader team to reinforce communication goals across settings, helping clients express themselves and engage with confidence.

Occupational Therapy (OT)

Occupational therapy builds skills for daily living, including fine motor development, sensory regulation, executive functioning, and independence.

Our therapists work as part of the larger therapeutic framework, ensuring progress in regulation and functional skills carries across environments.

Social Work

Social work services support the emotional, social, and behavioral well-being of clients and their families through counseling, guidance, and resources.

We emphasize real-life application, helping clients build social skills in natural settings while also providing a safe space to process challenges and strengthen relationships.
